Bring down carbon emissions and energy costs
Increased pressure to manage energy performance has led to many national and regional standards. Energy savings are at the forefront of actions that contribute to the sustainability of human activities. “Saving energy to reduce CO2 emissions” is the driving message in the fight against global warming.
Energy Management Systems offer a systematic approach to monitor and reduce the energy consumption in all kinds of organisations. ISO 50001 is the standard.
ISO 50001 is based on a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. Its requirements establish an energy policy with concrete objectives. These include putting in place actions to reduce and monitor energy use. Plus, verifying energy savings and planning ongoing improvements.
The ISO 50001 standard offers a comprehensive set of guidelines to meet carbon emissions reduction requirements. Based on regulatory compliance, it has the same structure as ISO 14001. ISO 50001 can be integrated easily to existing Quality, Safety and/or Environment Managements Systems.
